Managing Director of the Oman Automobile Association is ready to provide any assistance for organising the Rally Royale Oman Grand Tour and wishes us every success.
We are delighted to announce our agreement to collaborate with the Oman Automobile Association. Oman AA is an established and highly respected organisation that has done much to support driving and motor sporting activities in Oman. Under the direction of Mr Suleiman Al Rawahi, the association has developed an extensive range of facilities and activities for young people in Muscat, leading to the success of such international sports figures as Ahmed Al Harthy presently enjoying a successful racing season driving the Aston Martin Vanquish.
The Oman Automobile Association (OAA) was founded in 1979 and moved to its present location in Seeb in 1989. Since the early days the Association expanded and now incorporates the Oman Automobile Club with five Sub-Committees representing various sports such as Rally, Go-Kart, Moto Cross, Classic Bike and Racing Bike. The Oman Automobile Association is officially affiliated with the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the governing body for World Motor Sport and the Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT) which aims to standardise the issuing of International Driving Licenses and Carnet De Passages around the world.
The day to day activities of the Oman Automobile Association involves issuance of International Driving Permits, Carnet De Passages to individuals wanting to take their cars out of and back into the Sultanate of Oman for short durations.
Oman Automobile Association regulates and promotes motor sport in the Sultanate of Oman.
We are grateful for the support the OAA are offering, and look forward to a long mutually beneficial relationship as we progress with planning the rally.
